Time to catch up again and why not do that with a several cafe visits while spending time in another city! Palmerston North was my host yet again, so I tried out a few places that I didn't go to last time.
First up was Moxies, a modern stylish cafe that was bustling even at 11am, usually a quiet time between breakfast and lunch times. We ordered breakfast which was really quick to arrive and tasty. The coffee was so good I had two cups, I didn't have to explain an Americano to them, they knew exactly what one was and it came out perfect, rich smooth and flavourful. Happily recommend Moxies and give them 9/10
This week I bottled a nice Shiraz, my favourite red wine and perfect for winter warming. This was from a wine kit where everything is provided you just add water so to speak. I go with wine kits for reds because they're far superior to making wines from backyard grapes and much more complex in flavour and style. They usually don't take long to brew and are ready to drink quickly. In fact we opened a bottle straight away and it was delicious!
.
This particular one is 12% alc/vol..........its a full-bodied,rich deep red with flavours of juicy blackberries dusted with spice, it's smooth to the palate and easy to drink! Hopefully not too easy!
