A surrealist artwork that is about two men having coffee. Full of significant items that have their own story, this piece reflects a story of two men celebrating their relationship with a coffee rather than with the open bottle of wine significant to me in that I chose to give up alcohol recently. The label on the bottle is part Bollinger, part Moet with the words Dos Hombres translate from Spanish to English as 'Two Men' Spanish also being significant as part of my ancestry.
The two tarts and the dripping candles are significant but I'll leave that to you to work out!
The spilt coffee beans are there as a statement in that these men are 'spilling the beans...
This is a piece about acceptance; its about love and most of all its about two men, simply having a coffee together.
"When one buys some of my artwork I hope it is because they will wish to
learn from it and not because they think it will match their drapes!"
