  • Check out this new article about Collette and Boozehag! Its in an online magazine called Discounderworld and they interviewed Collette recently!
    They will be printing a hard copy mag as a one off at the end of the year and four of the artists interviewed this year will make it into the magazine.
    What we are asking of you is to vote for Collette on the last page of the article so she can be in with a chance to be in the hard copy! We really appreciate any votes

  • Affordable Arts Show - Wellington 2009
    The aim of the New Zealand Affordable Art Show is to encourage anyone and everyone to celebrate art and buy original local New Zealand art in a fun and relaxed environment, whilst encouraging new, emerging and established artists to exhibit and sell their work.

  • Carafe at the Cafe
    Carafe at the Cafe - a new wine group that Collette and Karen are starting up. This group is for home wine making buffs in the Hamilton region.This group is an informal gathering where guest speakers will talk on wine making subjects and assist people in their venture with wine tastings. No cost is involved, you do need to be creating your own wine or about to start and bring a bottle of wine to meetings for tasting (Beginners can bring shop wine at first!)   • One Size Fits All Exhibition 2009
    One Size Fits All (Curated by Collette) is an annual competition and exhibition to showcase the talents of well known to new artists on the block. Featuring 100's of NZ artists its a show not to be missed.

    The only theme is the 25cm x 25cm canvas. In its 3rd year, this show is extremely popular to both artists and collectors.

    An exhibition closing event will conclude the competition with drinks and nibbles on the 31st of July 5.30pm - 8.00pm. All welcome.

  • The 'Miss
    Collette has been asked to present some new work to appear with the QWU Beauty Pagent held in Wellington at the St James Theatre 22nd - 27th June 2009. The exhibition which is based on the Glamour girl utilising fun Drag Queen names like Miss Cruella De Vino(Pictured) and Miss Anita Cocktail. All artworks are for sale with a donation from each sale gonig to the QWU Charity.

  • Queen of the Whole Universe
    Collette has been asked to present some new work based on images of the QWU Beauty Pagent held in Auckland at the Aotea Centre for the week of the 10th until the 17th November 2008. The exhibition which is based on costumes of previous years shows is a new showcase for Collette's work and she is delighted to have be asked to be a part of it.

  • One Size Fits All Exhibition/Competition 2008
    Its that time of year again. This popular show had over 80 artists and over 100 pieces of art entered in the show in 2007. The only requirement is that artists must present their work on a canvas measuring 25cm x 25cm.

    The sohw will run from the 18th July - 1st August 2008 with a closing party to announce the people's choice awards.

  • UPDATE on the Boozehag Show
    The Boozehag show is now on until the 14th December 2007
    The opening night was a lot of fun, photos attached!
    Big thanks to those who helped make it happen including Brydon, Tom and Jo, the topless waiters. Darren and Dan the bodyguards and Claire and romaiye, who modeled the t-shirts and supported me through the whole thing!

  • Guess who's Back
    Thats right, Boozehags back in town! A new show of Chardonnay Minx aka the Boozehag.
    Thornton Gallery, 298 Barton st, Hamilton
    Opening is on Saturday 1st December 2007 at 4.00 - 8.00pm
    There will be wine and nibbles and some totally cool new artwork.

  • Modern Art - Classes 2007
    Fun techniques using various materials including texture pastes, pumice, sand and other mixed medias to create different styles of modern abstract art. Collette will teach to indivdual needs. Class size is limited, so be in quick.

  • A Beautiful Poem

  • One Size Fits All Competition/Exhibition
    Featuring over 90 artists from all around New Zealand. Collette is curating this show at Thornton Gallery, based around the concept of small canvas'. Each artist was asked to create a piece in their style on a canvas 250mm x 250mm square.
    The exhibition runs from 6th July - 20th July 2007. Instead of an opening we will be having a closing at which we will be announcing prizes that the public is asked to vote for over the 2 weeks the show is on. 5.30 - 8.00pm on the 20th, hope to see you there!

  • Artists in Wonderland - The Waikato Exhibition
    Featuring 30 Waikato artists who were asked to find the hidden treasures of the Waikato and put them onto canvas, take photograph or portray their ideas in sculpture.
    Opening event is Saturday 4th November 2006 at 5.30pm, all welcome. A local group of musicians from Raglan will be showcasing their new CD with Graeme Cairns aka Laird McGillicuddy the alternative Mayor of Hamilton along with Hilary Falconer the CEO of Arts Waikato will be speaking.
